Mount Tambora is an Indonesian volcanic mountain located in Sumbawa island, Indonesia, which explosion in April, 1815 is considered the largest and most destructive volcanic eruption recorded in history, which combined blast, pyroclastic flows and subsequent tsunamis killed at least 10,000 islanders directly. Famine and disease followed since crops couldn't grow, killing at least 100,000 people.
