Los vicios pragmáticos surgen "sobre la marcha". Es decir, ocurren por el sólo hecho de emplear alguna forma lingüística fuera de la convención, para adaptarse a la temporalidad. De allí que, tanto en las canciones antiguas como en las de la actualidad los autores incurren en esto vicios no solo para que rimen sus canciones sino para referirse a hechos que estén ocurriendo durante el periodo histórico en el que se desarrollan.
Las canciones antiguas solían utilizar bastantes arcaísmos y cacofonía, mientras que las canciones en las actualidad usan neologismos, monotonías y cacofonías.
Vicios pragmáticos.
Estos vicios se refieren a palabras que, debido a la espontaneidad del momento en el cual se mencionan, se consideran palabras poco utilizadas, inventadas o incluso mal dichas.
Las canciones antiguas, anteriores a los años 80, incurrían en numerosos arcaísmos, esto debido al sentido poético que solía tener la música durante esa época, dentro de estas palabras se pueden mencionar:

Por otra parte, música actual como el reggaetón incurre en demasiadas monotonías y cacofonías, monotonías con respecto a los sonidos utilizados y los coros repetidos una y otra vez, mientras que usan cacofonías que se basan en el lenguaje popular.
