essay on saving mother earth..
300 to 400 words..
Saving Earth is something not many people do. But most people show no signs of knowing what could happen to Earth. Floods. Pollution. Endangered animals. Fresh water gone bad. All of this can happen if we don't try to protect Earth. People disrespect Earth. I don't know about you, but where I come from, not a lot of people participate in Earth Day. Instead there's a lot of throwing trash on the ground, etc.
The football fields are especially dirty here. It's like people think to themselves, I don't know... Gee these people are our enemies! we should make them have to clean up our mess. Well, nobody ever does. Last year, I walked around the field, picking up trash with a trash bag almost as big as me, a sixth grader, 4 foot something, and came back with it three-fourths full.
Not even some scientists think about it! Oh hey kid, what do you want? Oh you think you made this perfect invention to get rid of at least half of the plastic in our oceans? yeah right. You're just a kid. Beat it. I don't want to spend my time on you, I don't want to look at it. Now get lost. You guys know where that's from? Boyan Slat. And there's only eighty staff. Eighty people. how many people are on earth? 7.7 billion.
Ways we can help clean Earth. Easy ways; join The Ocean Cleanup, Clean up garbage, recycle things, try to use reusable things as long as you can (don't try to break it or whatever), don't throw things (I was taught "stuff" is a dead word, or a word used too much) on the ground, waters, or bushes/trees/jungles/forests. Harder ways; use fire as less as possible, don't ever use plastic (did you know scrunchies have plastic?) except for clothes, and (this is hard for most people, as lives tend to get busy) actually try to help.
If you don't care at all about this topic, then say goodbye to all your loved ones because Earth is as good as gone. People suspect 12 more years from now, (But I think more than that) Earth will go, BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM! No more world! we got taken over bye floods, and starvation, and thirst. Now the question is, do you want to end like this? Just remember, you can end Earth, or fix Earth.

Scientists are confused by the different ways the rocks move, and theories involving wind, ice, and mud have not been confirmed. Scientists have theories of how the rocks move. Read the passage from the Kennedy-Nixon debates.
Nixon: Where, then, do we disagree? I think we disagree on the implication of his remarks tonight and on the statements that he has made on many occasions during his campaign to the effect that the United States has been standing still. We heard tonight, for example, the statement made that our growth in national product last year was the lowest of any industrial nation in the world. Now last year, of course, was 1958. That happened to be a recession year. But when we look at the growth of G.N.P. this year, a year of recovery, we find that it's six and nine-tenths per cent and one of the highest in the world today. More about that later.
Kennedy: This is a great country, but I think it could be a greater country; and this is a powerful country, but I think it could be a more powerful country. I'm not satisfied to have fifty percent of our steel-mill capacity unused. I'm not satisfied when the United States had last year the lowest rate of economic growth of any major industrialized society in the world. Because economic growth means strength and vitality; it means we're able to sustain our defenses; it means we're able to meet our commitments abroad.
On what point do Kennedy and Nixon disagree?
A. Nixon thinks America needs to increase trade with Peking, China; Kennedy thinks America should strike out at China and Russia (the Kremlin).
B. Nixon thinks America is progressing; Kennedy thinks America is standing still.

Answer: The terrain, or land, in a particular area.
Topography refers to the study of the features of land. It is often considered synonymous with relief when the term is used in maps with elevation contours. Read the sentence and answer the following question: I have read a bunch of informative texts on the topic you just mentioned, and I would be glad to add my insights to our conversation. Which words should be replaced with something more precise?
When writing for academia, you’ll always want to be as precise as possible. Thus, you’ll want to stay away from generalizations, vague words, as well as relative words (words that can mean different things to different people). For instance, in looking at the sentence, there are a couple of instances where things could more precise.
“I have read a bunch…” – How much is a bunch? Here, an exact number would be the best manner to be precise. For instance, “I have 23…”
“…informative texts…” – What type of informative texts? Here, by being precise, the credibility could be affected. Scholarly journals? Tabloids? Again, it is always best to be specific.
“…on the topic you just mentioned…” – Here, to be precise, it would be best to reiterate the topic. What topic is that?
Answer:
"a bunch of informative texts"
Explanation:
This sentence, although not incorrect, is imprecise. Although it wants to convey the idea that the speaker is knowledgeable about a certain topic, it nevertheless is too vague for us to get a proper idea of the extent of the speaker's knowledge. By describing what he has read as "a bunch of informative texts," the speaker does not properly informs us of the specific number of texts he has read. Nor does he provide information on what type of informative texts he refers to (books, peer-reviewed articles, essays, etc.). This information would improve the clarity and persuasiveness of the statement.

The challenge that Little Willy faces in the excerpt from Stone Fox is one of survival and braving the elements of nature. The text illustrates a young boy accidentally confronting a rabbit, which triggers a panic response causing him to flee blindly into the forest. Torn by brambles and overwhelmed by fear, Little Willy finds himself lost and alone, eventually succumbing to exhaustion and falling asleep between two rocks.
This situation is a crucial test of Little Willy's resilience and ability to cope with unexpected and stressful situations. The various emotions and physical challenges he encounters, from the initial unexpected encounter with the harmless rabbit to the terror of being lost in the forest, allude to the broader theme of a young individual facing the formidable and unpredictable forces of nature.
Moreover, the story presents a stark contrast between the innocence of childhood and the harsh realities of the world, as seen through the eyes of Little Willy. This excerpt is a powerful representation of the coming-of-age narrative, where a child must navigate complex emotions and navigate through adversity in the process of growing up.

Construct a brief expository paragraph of about one hundred words on a topic of your choice. Avoid the temptation to persuade.
Final answer:
An expository paragraph on photosynthesis describes how plants convert light energy into chemical energy, detailing the light-dependent reactions and the Calvin cycle.
Explanation:
The process of photosynthesis in plants is a vital topic in biology, allowing for the conversion of light energy into chemical energy. This process primarily occurs in the chloroplasts of plant cells, where chlorophyll captures sunlight. The light-dependent reactions take place within the thylakoid membranes, producing ATP and NADPH. These are then used in the Calvin cycle, which takes place in the stroma, to synthesize glucose from carbon dioxide and water. As plants produce oxygen as a byproduct, photosynthesis is crucial not only for plant growth but also for sustaining life on Earth by replenishing atmospheric oxygen and serving as the base of food chains.
Scout notices that Jem, who has turned 12 at the beginning of Chapter 12, has changed. Describe how Jem is different. How has the relationship between the siblings changed?
Jem's maturation at the start of Chapter 12 of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' changes the dynamics with Scout, as he behaves more authoritatively and introspectively, marking a natural sibling relationship evolution during adolescence.
Explanation:The exploration of Jem's changes in To Kill a Mockingbird illustrates a shift in his maturation and the evolution of sibling relationships. At the start of Chapter 12, Jem has turned 12 and displays significant differences in his behavior. He becomes more introspective and less playful, which is indicative of adolescent changes. This transition can lead to the common growing apart seen between younger and older siblings as they enter different life stages.
Scout notices how Jem begins to assert his authority over her, instructing her on what to do, practically treating her like a younger child who doesn't understand the complexities of life that he is beginning to grapple with. This new dynamic strains their relationship, as Scout feels both confused and somewhat sidelined by Jem's new demeanor. However, it also reflects a natural progression wherein the older sibling takes on a more protective and parental role as he matures.
The alteration in their relationship lays the foundation for their deeper character development throughout the novel. Jem's growth into the adult world and Scout's struggle to understand this shift embodies a quintessential aspect of the journey from childhood to adolescence. It's exacerbating components such as moodiness and the inclination to distance oneself from family highlight the universal nature of growing up.
In Harper Lee's novel 'To Kill a Mockingbird,' Scout notices that her older brother Jem has changed after turning 12. Jem becomes more moody and distant, showing signs of adolescence. The relationship between Scout and Jem also undergoes some changes as Jem asserts his independence.
Explanation:In Harper Lee's novel 'To Kill a Mockingbird,' Scout notices that her older brother Jem has changed after turning 12. Jem becomes more moody and distant, showing signs of adolescence. He starts to develop a sense of independence and becomes more interested in exploring the world outside their small town of Maycomb. Jem's changing behavior can be attributed to his entering adolescence and experiencing the challenges and conflicts that come with growing up.
As for the relationship between Scout and Jem, it also undergoes some changes. While they had a close bond as siblings before, Jem's growing maturity causes him to distance himself from Scout at times. He starts to assert his independence and seeks his interests and friendships. However, their sibling bond is still strong, and they support and care for each other throughout the novel.

What is the claim in the text “Zoos Connect Us to the Natural World.” by Michael Hutchins?
The claim of a piece of writing is essentially the same as its thesis. The thesis, as such, will generally be presented in the first paragraph (if not the first few lines) of the text. When we look at the article, thus, the first paragraph mentions two things: a gorilla named Little Joe (the hook/attention getter) and that zoos do a good job at nurturing their animals. Readers can be safe to assume that the article will cover how zoos do a good job at nurturing because of how the last sentence within the introductory paragraph begins with “But less well covered was the very real success…” As such, the claim of this piece is that zoos succeed at nurturing the animals that live within their walls. Again, it’s important to remember how, generally, the thesis turns out to be the claim.
