A. Generality

C. Circular reasoning
D. Assertion
Answer:

Read the following passage: This time, Jacob was in charge of picking teams for baseball at recess. He knew Sara was the best batter in school, but just before he called her name, he got cold feet and picked one of the boys instead. Eventually, Jacob called on Sara for his team, but only after all the boys had been picked?
Answer:
You have not offered any choices, so therefore, I will elaborate on what you have written.
Based on the idea that he was picking teams means something in the hierarchy of recess. I am guessing that he is in about the 5th or 6th grade, and would be embarrassed if he chose a girl first instead of his friends. At this age and at this stage in his development, having boys on his team is much more important than having a girl. Would this mean that he likes her? Does he just want her for her talent of being the best batter? His relationships with his peers that are boys are much more important to him at this time of his life. I perceive that when he did pick a couple of boys, they agreed TOGETHER that they should get the best batter. This way it was in the best efforts of the TEAM and not that a boy was picking a girl.

This is assuming that the Eden that is in this context means the "Garden of Eden", which was created by God towards the beginning. suppose you want to know how harmful pesticides maybe to pets. which one of the following articles would be least helpful
The article that would be least helpful in understanding how harmful pesticides may be to pets is "Triton Insecticide Recalled in 12 States."
While the other articles provide valuable information and insights into the topic of pesticides and their potential effects on pets, the article about a specific pesticide recall in 12 states, namely "Triton Insecticide Recalled in 12 States," may be less helpful for several reasons:
Specificity: This article focuses on a particular pesticide recall, which is a narrow and specific event. It may not provide a comprehensive understanding of the broader issue of the long-term effects of pesticides on pets.
Geographic Limitation: The recall is limited to 12 states, which means that the information may not be relevant to pet owners outside of those states. Understanding the overall impact of pesticides on pets requires a broader perspective.
Recall vs. Long-Term Effects: While a recall is an important event, it is distinct from studying the long-term effects of pesticides. Pet owners may be more interested in understanding the chronic and cumulative effects of pesticide exposure on their pets over time.
In contrast, the other articles appear to address these concerns more effectively. "New Studies Show the Long-Term Effects of Pesticide Powders" and "Is Your Back Yard a Hazard to Your Pets?" seem likely to provide more comprehensive information about the potential risks of pesticides to pets. "FDA Calls for Biodegradable Pesticide Research" may offer insights into regulatory efforts and research directions related to pesticide safety.

The least helpful article for determining the harmfulness of pesticides to pets discusses the negligible effects of Bt corn pollen on caterpillars in high concentrations, which does not directly pertain to pets. Articles about pesticide toxicity, suitability, and risks to animals would be more beneficial.
If you want to know how harmful pesticides may be to pets, the article that would be least helpful is likely the one discussing the impact of high concentrations of Bt corn pollen on caterpillars. This is because the study focuses on very specific conditions that are seldom reached in nature, and the impact on caterpillars does not directly correlate to the effects on domestic pets.
The articles that would be more helpful would focus on the acute toxicity of pesticides (as indicated by signal words such as CAUTION or WARNING), the suitability of the pesticide for the intended treatment area and pest control, and the overall risks to both the environment and animals, including pets, caused by various types of pesticides, both synthetic and naturally derived.

As you probably already know there have been eleven deaths reported and unfortunately it seems like that number is rising day by day. Eleven deaths in a singular month is astoundingly rare and sheds a very negative light on Paradise Colony which i'm sure is something the community nor you want. In the best interest of the community I think we both can agree that a change needs to be made and soon! Since the majority of these accidents happen on the National Highway i believe it is important to start there. A few suggestions for decreasing the accidents on this road may be to get tougher on people breaking the speed limit or using cellular devices on this road. I know that might sounds like a trivial way to fix this situation but I also strongly believe it is our best chance. THE MATCH
There never was a time when the world was without fire, but there was a time when men did not know how to kindle fire; and after they learned how to kindle one, it was a long, long time before they learned how to kindle one easily. In these days we can kindle a fire without any trouble, because we can easily get a match; but we must remember that the match is one of the most wonderful things in the world, and that it took men thousands of years to learn how to make one. Let us learn the history of this familiar little object, the match.
Fire was first given to man by nature itself. When a forest is set on fire by cinders from a neighboring volcano, or when a tree is set ablaze by a thunderbolt, we may say that nature strikes a match. In the early history of the world, nature had to kindle all the fires, for man by his own effort was unable to produce a spark. The first method, then, of getting fire for use was to light sticks of wood at a flame kindled by nature—by a volcano, perhaps, or by a stroke of lightning. These firebrands were carried to the home and used in kindling the fires there. The fire secured in this way was carefully guarded and was kept burning as long as possible. But the flame, however faithfully watched, would sometimes be extinguished. A sudden gust of wind or a sudden shower would put it out. Then a new firebrand would have to be secured, and this often meant a long journey and a deal of trouble.
In 1827, John Walker, a druggist in a small English town, tipped a splint with sulphur, chlorate of potash, and sulphid of antimony, and rubbed it on sandpaper, and it burst into flame. The druggist had discovered the first friction-chemical match, the kind we use to-day. It is called friction-chemical because it is made by mixing certain chemicals together and rubbing them. Although Walker's match did not require the bottle of acid, nevertheless it was not a good one. It could be lighted only by hard rubbing, and it sputtered and threw fire in all directions. In a few years, however, phosphorus was substituted on the tip for antimony, and the change worked wonders. The match could now be lighted with very little rubbing, and it was no longer necessary to have sandpaper upon which to rub it. It would ignite when rubbed on any dry surface, and there was no longer any sputtering. This was the phosphorus match, the match with which we are so familiar.
What issue made a match, or other device for starting a fire, necessary? (5 points)
Burning material was hard to find.
Fire was hard to transport.
Nature was unreliable.
Wind storms were frequent.
C) Nature was unreliable made a match, or other device for starting a fire, necessary.

(1) Year-round schooling would help student achievement. (2) Not so much information would have to be crammed into nine months. (3) Furthermore, the elimination of long breaks, particularly summer break, would significantly reduce "learning loss” and the additional time wasted at the beginning of each academic year to reteach previously learned material. (4) It is clear that year-round schooling helps students learn and retain more. (5) The United States is not the only country to experiment with a year-round school schedule. (6) Although many still claim that evidence about year-round school and its link to higher achievement is inconclusive, these people need to open their eyes and see that students in these schools consistently score higher on certain assessments than students who attend schools with traditional nine-month calendars. (7) It is about time that we replaced our outdated and inefficient school calendars.
If added after sentence 3, which sentence would most improve this conclusion?
This would cause less frustration for teachers because they would not have to plan a lesson to reteach a concept that the students should already know.
Because students would not need to spend so much time reviewing previously covered material, they would then have more time to master new concepts.
Spending time re-learning old material is something I always dreaded at the beginning of each new academic year because it was a waste of time.
