What are perspectives in learning ?

A consensus publication called Perspectives In Learning is published online by Columbus State University's College of Education and Health Professions. The journal's focus includes instruction and learning. All levels and contexts can be interpreted in terms of teaching and learning.

Behaviorism, cognitive learning theory, constructivism, humanism, and connectivism are the five main philosophies of educational learning.

Three principles in particular are frequently emphasized by instructors'   perspectives in learning and are sometimes even taken for granted: (1) curriculum content and academic accomplishment, (2) sequencing and readiness, and (3) the significance of applying what is learned to new or future contexts.

Thus, option B is correct.

In an essay, explain how the alliteration in "Full Fathom Five" helps convey the atmosphere of the poem. Think about where the poem is set and what is described. Then, give two examples of alliteration in the poem, and describe how they add to the atmosphere. Use the reading selection to help you answer the question.

Full fathom five thy father lies;
Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.
Sea-nymphs hourly ring his knell:
Ding-dong.
Hark! now I hear them,--ding-dong, bell

Answers

The mood of the poem is sad and dark, describing where the bones of someone's father are laying (at the bottom of the ocean.). Alliteration helps convey this mood because the repetition of sounds, especially the 'f' and 's' sounds, make a sound that resembles the rush of waves or the sound you hear if you're underwater.
The first example is in the first line, the 'f' sound is repeated in "Full Fathom Five thy Father lies". Then, for a second example, in lines 4-7, the 's' sound is repeated in "Suffer a Sea-change / Into Something rich and Strange. / Sea-nymphS". Again, those two sounds represent the sound and feeling of being underwater where the body is resting.

Read the first stanza of “The Tiger” by William Blake. What is the syllable count of each of the four lines in the excerpt?

Tiger, tiger, burning bright

What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

A. 7-7-7-8

B. 7-8-6-7

C. 7-8-7-8

D. 7-6-7-6

Answers

The answer is A I am 100% sure.  :)

Answer: A) 7-7-7-8.

Explanation: The best wat to determine the syllable count of the lines of a poem is to read the lines out loud, separate all the words into syllables as we pronounce them, and them count them. In the given lines from "The Tiger" by William Blake, the separation would be:

Ti-ger-Ti-ger-bur-ning-bright

In-the-fo-rests-of-the-night

what-im-mor-tal-hand-or-eye

could-frame-thy-fear-ful-sym-me-try.

So, when we count the syllables in each line, we obtain 7-7-7-8, corresponding to option A.

Evaluate the narrator of the outsider how credible is his presentation of events? explain whether your understaning of the narrator added to the story's suspense

Answers

The narrator of ‘The Outsiders’ is named Ponyboy Curtis, a 14-year-old boy. The story is set in his perspective and you see the events unfold in his point of view. He exposes all his imperfections throughout the story giving the reader a clear description of his environment. His surroundings is full of crimes, alcoholic drinks, and violence which helped him to mature.

My understanding of the narrator added suspense to the story because I feel nervous and anxious for Ponyboy that I hope he will survive that kind of environment.

The credibility of a narrator in a story varies, with factors like character traits, bias, and the narrator's tone of voice contributing to their reliability. This influences how the story is understood and can add suspense as readers discern the truth of events.

The credibility of a narrator in a story is always a significant matter to consider. First-person narrators can vary greatly in their reliability, which we can discern through close reading and scrutiny of their account. For instance, the character of Montresor in Poe's writing and Stevens in Kazuo Ishiguro's The Remains of the Day are examples of narrators whose reliability may be questionable. Assessing credibility involves evaluating the character traits of the narrator, such as whether they are educated, naive, or cynical, and examining the consistency and logic in their narrative.

When a narrator's credibility is in doubt, it can significantly affect how we perceive and interpret the events of the story. For instance, a narrator may omit important details, showcase bias, or interpret events through their unique perspective, which may or may not align with reality. This complexity can add to the story's suspense and deepen the engagement with the narrative as the reader tries to discern the true nature of the events.

The tone of voice of the narrator can also be indicative of their credibility. If the narrator sounds authentic, the audience may be more inclined to trust their account. Conversely, if something feels 'off' or disingenuous, it might act as a barrier to the audience's belief in the story, prompting them to scrutinize the narrative more closely.

A student is writing a research report for his eighth–grade literature class about the work of the famous American poet Emily Dickinson. The student must use sources that are credible, trustworthy, and relevant for the topic.

Which of these is most likely a credible, or trustworthy, source that is relevant for the topic?

A.an article in a literary journal that analyzes Dickinson's poetry and its impact on later American poets .

B.a history book that contains information about the politicians that lived when Dickinson did .

C. the printed work of an American poet that is just as famous today as Dickinson was in her time.

D. printed examples of poetry written by other poets in the time that Dickinson wrote her poems.

Answers

A.an article in a literary journal that analyzes Dickinson's poetry and its impact on later American poets.

Response “A” is the best response because all other options are off topic because they do not directly relate to only the specific work of Emily Dickenson.  Additionally, the most reliable type of source that one can ever utilize for an author/author’s work will be an article in a literary journal.  This is so because before an author is allowed to publish within a journal, the author’s article/essay/paper will have been vetted by peers.  Journal articles are also referred to as peer-reviewed publications because authors will have their work reviewed by other experts within the same field before publishing.  As such, if one is reading an article within a peer-reviewed journal of any discipline, he or she will know that the credibility of the author and text content was verified to be a reliable source of information.

Answer:

A.an article in a literary journal that analyzes Dickinson's poetry and its impact on later American poets .

Explanation:

Option C and D are not even related to Dickinson directly.

If you're going to find information on someone, it's best for you to discard second-hand information if possible. If you're going to consider it, maybe consider it when it comes from a specialist on the subject or someone who is studying the exact subject.

ALL OF THE ABOVE

When constructing a summary, one should keep in mind that this is probably the least creative type of writing you’ll ever be asked to do.  What is a summary?  Well, basically a summary is a recanting of the facts, and nothing but the facts.  You would obviously avoid use of first-person pronouns and “loaded” language because that would lend to the inclusion of your personal reactions and judgments.  In a summary, thus, there should never be any analysis taking place on your behalf.  The use of loaded words such as “horrible” or “amazing” are biased when used in summarizing if those words are, naturally, not being quoted from the source.  It would, however, be okay to mention the emotions that Olauday Equiano described because those emotions would be part of how you summarized what you just read, not your opinion on the piece. And, your opinion, definitely, is something that, too, should also be avoided in summaries.

Introduction (Theme and Thesis) The most important functions of the introduction are to introduce your topic and to present your position on the relevant issues of the topic. The essay questions give you the topic or theme for your paper (in this case, evidence that class inequality affects the quality of public education offered our children). Your particular position on the topic should be expressed as broadly-stated argument or thesis statement. For example, “In this paper I will show how education is not always ‘the great leveler’ of inherited class differences, but opens opportunities for some while closing opportunities for others.” Or, “In this essay, I will explore how educational institutions can either create or take away opportunities from their students. I will argue that in the absence of a class-based understanding of education inequality, we as a society will continue to see success in individualized terms.”Body For the purposes of this essay, you don't need to have formal subsections in the body of the paper, but you might want to organize your writings so that you move from a brief review of relevant points in the readings to your analysis of the material. For example, the reader should clearly understand what sociologists mean by the term “class” and how it is 2 measured. Conclusion By the conclusion of the essay, the reader should have more or new insight into the topic at hand. An unwritten rule of conclusions is that they shouldn't include radically new material. While your conclusion should re-emphasize the most important argument of your paper in a clearly stated manner, you can enhance the sense of completion if you return to a major idea—now in more nuanced form—initially presented in the introduction.

The praying mantis is a member of the Mantid group of insects. Mantids come in many shapes and sizes and are found all over the world. Some have patterns on their bodies that help them look like the ground. Some are bright green to blend in with leaves and plants. One special mantis is bright pink and looks like an orchid. The mantis is such a strange and engaging creature that many people keep them as pets. For many reasons, mantids have fascinated humans for many years. First, mantids show an amazing mastery of hunting skills. Mantids eat a wide variety of insects, including moths, crickets, bees, flies, grasshoppers, other mantids, and even, on occasion, small birds and snakes. They can capture prey many times larger than they are. Their powerful armor and amazing hunting skills make them quite effective. They have large powerful front legs, with spikes that help them hold on to prey. Their head can turn almost entirely around to follow prey without moving. Their front legs are so powerful and so fast that it is hard to see them move when capturing prey. One second their legs are empty and the next they are clutching tightly to something they have caught. Mantids are also stealthy. They wait, very still, very patiently for prey to come into sight. They also make slight swaying movements, to mimic leaves and grass moved by the wind. They focus intently on their victim. Then they pounce, suddenly, rarely missing their target. They are so successful they can triple in size every few months by molting when they outgrow their exoskeletons. They start out as nymphs, able to capture only prey that is smaller than they are. They end their lives about a year later becoming predators that can take down prey as large as hummingbirds. Finally, they are very personable, as far as insects go. They have a large, triangular-shaped head with large eyes. This alien-like appearance makes them quite cute. When you come across them in the garden, you can tell right away they are aware of you. They follow your movements as if to assess if you are either something to eat or something that will eat them. The little ones will accept rides on your finger if you are gentle. However, they may also eat some insects that help a gardenerlike bees. Regardless, the mantis is a fascinating insect, and if you happen to see one hunting in the wild, consider yourself lucky.
